Personal Statement

I am a psychiatrist and addiction specialist practicing in the Flatiron/Chelsea area of Manhattan. My clinical interests include adult psychiatry, substance use, LGBTQ+ mental health, and psychotherapy. I am available for in-person and virtual appointments. 

Biographical Info

Dr. Hankins graduated from Dartmouth College and worked in education for several years before attending medical school at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons. He completed psychiatry residency at Cornell, where he was chief resident, and an addiction psychiatry fellowship at New York University.  In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Hankins is also active in medical education. He teaches and supervises medical students, residents, and fellows, and is the Manhattan site director for Cornell's psychiatry clerkship.
